Fundraisers with purpose for your Organization

At last comes a fund-raiser for cash-strapped programs, a model enterprise born of craftsmanship on family farms. Scotch Hill Farm, a vegetable crop and small-scale livestock farm in Brodhead, Wis., has been making milk soap for 7 years. It’s also been teaching a high-quality soap milling process to 8 other family farms.
Together, our farms are adding value to goat milk and improving rural sustainability in a USDA Small Business Innovation Research project. We’re doing this by restoring the practice of making soap to the farm, increasing farm family income, integrating crops and livestock on a humane scale and protecting ecology.
We’ve organized a guild – Clean Harvest – and we’re developing a marketing cooperative of farmstead soap-makers in Wisconsin, Illinois and soon Iowa, too. The farms range from commercial dairies with 100s of milking does, to vegetable producers working small goatherds and milk soap into family businesses.

Fund-raisers with milk soap and other skin care products help these farmers diversify income and improve local economies. In the fund-raisers, you can sell:
At community events with churches and businesses;
At community and school functions, such as sporting events, concerts and festivals.
Organizations partner with our guild to sell – and sometimes even make – the handcrafted items in benefits for your group or project. A new documentary film and sometimes even trips to our farms help participating organizations see farm families developing artisan businesses by ingenuity, hand-crafted quality and collaboration. These fund-raisers instruct and inspire as they strengthen resources for you.
